What is aerobiology?

The Aerobiology examined particles of biological origin, which can be found in the atmosphere - pollen, mold spores, bacteria, algae, and others - their sources, their spread and interaction with non-organic particles and their effects on humans.

 

Who is the SGA?

The SGA is an independent, pan-Swiss association with activities in the field of aerobiology and was founded in 1993 on the basis of the Swiss Working Group on Aerobiology.

The association is made up of members from the medical (doctors, pharmacists, epidemiologists) and natural sciences (biologists, meteorologists, agronomists, etc.) and industry (pharmaceuticals, manufacturers extract) together.

Electronic symptom diary

In partnership with the Swiss Association for Aerobiology and MeteoSchweiz, aha! Swiss Allergy Centre and CK-CARE Davos have developed an electronic symptom log. pdfnext

Poster Award

One of the goals of the Swiss Society of Aerobiology SGA is to actively promote the research in the field of Aerobiology and therefore is happy to anounce the release of a yearly poster price of CHF 1000.-. It will be first awarded during the upcoming Annual Congress of the Swiss Society of Allergology and Immunology SGAI (17.-19. April 2013, Kursaal Bern)  next
